Fabuwood Euroline Gloss Kitchen Cabinets
Available on the Catalina door
Dark, striped and glossy, this is a finish that announces itself. Euroline Gloss puts pale silver lines through a near-black charcoal ground and then polishes the whole thing, so the doors read like a lacquered veneer panel. It is not a background color, and it is not trying to be.

Color & Look
Underneath everything is a very dark charcoal, close enough to black that most people will call it black until a true black is set beside it. The lean is faintly cool and smoky rather than brown. Running vertically across the face are hair-thin lines — some pale silver, some a mid gray, spaced irregularly — that look like a bleached grain pulled through the dark surface. Under the gloss they sit slightly below the surface, which is what gives the door its depth.
Because the ground is dark and the surface is glossy, this finish behaves like a dark mirror. In north light the silver lines carry the door and the charcoal recedes; in direct sun the reflection takes over and you see the window before you see the grain. Under warm downlights the striping glints and the doors look considerably richer than they do in daylight. In a dim room it collapses into a dark mass, so plan the lighting with the finish, not after it.
The usual first guess is ebonized or gray-stained wood, and the second is a dark laminate panel. Both get the idea. It is not a solid black — a genuine black door has nothing in it to catch the light, where this one always has the striping doing something. Compared with Antracita Matte, the flat near-black in the same series, this is the opposite approach to a dark kitchen: one absorbs light and stays even, the other reflects it and keeps moving.
Construction & Quality
Euroline Gloss belongs to Fabuwood’s Illume & Ovela series — European frameless construction with applied gloss, matte and textured surfaces rather than paint or stain.
Every Fabuwood cabinet is fitted with Blum soft-close hinges and drawer systems. Fabuwood backs its cabinetry with a lifetime warranty, with a separate Blum warranty on the hardware, and lists CARB2 compliance and ICC-ES and AWI/QCP certification.
Fabuwood groups its colors in tiers. Euroline Gloss is a Designer color, which is made to order rather than stocked, so it is worth allowing for that in the schedule.
Where It Works
A whole kitchen in this finish needs space, light and a plan. In a large, well-glazed room it looks like a designed object; in a standard galley it will feel like a cave. The more common use is on an island, a tall pantry wall or a bank of lowers, with a pale perimeter above, so the dark striping becomes a feature rather than the whole room. On a single run of tall cabinets it looks like a piece of joinery.
It belongs in contemporary rooms and in the crisper end of transitional work; it does not soften into a traditional kitchen. Away from the kitchen, it makes a genuinely good bar — dark, reflective and slightly theatrical is exactly right in a room you use at night. A powder room vanity in this finish reads as furniture. We would think twice about a family mudroom, where the gloss shows dust and every scuff lands on a dark surface.
Pairing Ideas
Countertops
Bright white gives the sharpest result — Cambria Whitney or Vicostone Lacus and Volakano, all clean whites, cut hard against the charcoal. If that feels too severe, Cambria Berwyn or Bradshaw in cream with marble-look veining warm the scheme and echo the pale striping. Cambria Kendal is the middle ground, white with veining but less contrast.
Countertops we carry →Backsplash
White stone is the natural partner. MSI Calacatta Marbella Polished or Calacatta Fiorella put bold white movement opposite the dark vertical lines, which is a contrast worth having. MSI Carrara Polished is quieter and lets the doors lead. A honed surface like Arabescato Venato White Argyle takes the glare down if the room is already reflective.
Backsplash tile →Hardware
Contrast is the decision. Brushed gold or champagne — the Berenson Swagger 96mm or the 128mm Champagne Bar Pull — pick up the warm side of the room and stand out against the dark ground. Chrome or bright nickel echoes the silver striping. Matte black disappears completely, which is a legitimate choice if you want an unbroken dark face.
Pulls & knobs →Floors
Keep the floor lighter than the cabinets. A pale to mid oak engineered hardwood stops the room bottoming out, and light LVP does the same where water is a concern. A pale large-format porcelain keeps everything modern and gives the dark doors something to sit against. A dark floor under dark cabinets is a hard look to pull off outside a very bright room.
