Quartzite Countertops

Quartzite is a natural stone formed as sandstone recrystallizes under heat and pressure. It gives you the flowing, marble-like movement many people love — but as one of the hardest natural surfaces, it stands up to daily kitchen use far better than marble does.

Every slab is one of a kind. Quartzite is quarried natural stone — every slab is one of a kind, with its own veining, movement, and color. The images here are representative; the actual slab will differ. We arrange a slab viewing so you can see and approve the exact piece before anything is cut.

The Beauty of Marble, the Strength of Stone

Quartzite is a natural stone formed as sandstone recrystallizes under heat and pressure. It gives you the flowing, marble-like movement many people love — but as one of the hardest natural surfaces, it stands up to daily kitchen use far better than marble does.

Colors run from serene whites and grays to dramatic blues, greens, and full-movement exotics. Because it is natural stone, each slab is unique.

Care & Maintenance

Quartzite is durable but, like all natural stone, it should be sealed and cleaned gently:

  • Have it sealed on installation and re-sealed periodically to resist staining.
  • Clean with warm water and a pH-neutral stone cleaner — avoid acidic or abrasive products.
  • Blot spills promptly rather than wiping them across the surface.
  • Use trivets for hot pans and a cutting board for knife work.

Choosing Your Slab

Because natural stone is a product of the earth, no two slabs match and there is no color or pattern “guarantee” the way there is with engineered quartz. That is exactly why we insist you see the actual slab — we will arrange a viewing so you approve the specific piece before it is fabricated.
