Mantra Omni Shaker Cabinet Door

Full-overlay shaker with a clean, modern face

Omni is the busier of Mantra’s two doors, and the one most kitchens land on. A square shaker frame, a flat recessed panel, and a drawer front built the same way, so a run of cabinets reads as one continuous piece rather than a row of separate parts.

Design & Profile

The frame is flat and square, and the panel inside it is flat too, set below the frame rather than raised. Where the two meet there is a narrow angled shoulder instead of a straight drop, so the opening is outlined by one fine line of shadow rather than a hard black edge. Nothing else is going on: no bead, no step, no moulding. It is the plainest reading of a shaker, and it stays quiet in a room.

The drawer front repeats the door at a smaller scale — its own frame around its own recessed panel, which is what a 5-piece drawer front means. On a deep drawer the panel reads clearly; on a shallow one it narrows to a slot. Either way the drawer and the door share a vocabulary, so the eye follows a single rhythm across a run of base cabinets.

Because the doors sit full overlay, they cover nearly all of the cabinet frame and leave only a thin reveal between fronts. From a few steps back you see a continuous plane of color broken by fine dark lines, not a grid of framed openings. That is the main reason Omni reads modern even in warm colors — the structure is there, but it is understated.

Series & Construction

Omni is one of two door styles Mantra builds, both framed shakers. It is a full-overlay door with a 2-1/4" rail and a 5-piece drawer front, offered in eight colors.

Mantra is part of the MasterBrand family and is built on plywood construction — ½″ plywood ends and ¾″ plywood adjustable shelves — with a solid-wood dovetail drawer box. Doors and drawers are soft-closing as standard, on 6-way adjustable hinges and under-mount full-extension guides.

Mantra is ICC-ES certified to ANSI A161.1 and carries a limited 5-year warranty; coverage and terms are set by Mantra.

Frequently Asked Questions

Two things, and both are visible from across the room. Omni is full overlay, so the fronts cover the cabinet frame and sit close together; Classic is partial overlay, and you see frame around every door. Omni’s drawer front is a 5-piece that mirrors the door, while Classic uses a plain slab. Both are framed shakers on the same 2-1/4" rail.
No. The profile itself is neutral — a square frame and a flat panel have been in kitchens for a century. What reads contemporary is the full overlay and the tight reveals. In a traditional room, warm color, a wood tone and classic hardware pull it back toward the middle; in a modern room, a cool color and a simple bar pull push it the other way.
It keeps the drawer and the door speaking the same language, which matters most on a bank of drawers. The panel gives each front a little depth instead of a blank face. On a shallow top drawer the panel compresses to a narrow slot, so if you want a consistent look on very shallow fronts, it is worth seeing that combination before ordering.
