Kemper Toasted Almond Stained & Glazed Cabinets
Offered in the Kemper Choice and Emerge series
A pale, warm almond base carries this one, with a soft brown glaze worked into the edges and recesses to give it age. The overall effect is light and gentle rather than dark, and the glaze supplies the detail. It suits traditional kitchens that want warmth without weight.

Color & Look
The body color is light — a creamy almond with a peach-warm cast, well up in the light half of the range. Over it sits a brown glaze that does not coat the surface evenly. Instead it collects where the finish steps down, drawing a soft brown line through the recesses and settling a little along the edges. That contrast between a pale field and a darker line is the whole character of the finish.
In north light the base cools slightly and the peach settles into something closer to a plain cream, with the glaze reading brown and calm. Afternoon sun does the opposite: the base warms toward apricot and the glaze looks softer, almost tan. Under warm bulbs at night it is the warmest of all. Because the glaze line is the darkest thing on the surface, the finish keeps its definition even as the base color shifts.
What people mistake it for is a plain cream or antique white cabinet, and from a distance that is close to how it reads. Up close the difference is obvious — the glaze gives depth and a hand-applied look that a flat painted cream does not have. It also means some variation is normal, since glaze is applied and wiped back rather than sprayed uniformly. If you want a perfectly even surface, a straight stain or paint is the better route.
Construction & Quality
Kemper has been making cabinetry in America since 1926 and is part of the MasterBrand family. Offered in the Kemper Choice and Emerge series.
Emerge is Kemper’s most personalized series: all-plywood construction, custom sizing, and a choice of full-overlay, inset or beaded-inset doors, with specialty finishes, stain and glaze options and multiple edge profiles.
Kemper backs its cabinetry with a limited lifetime warranty; coverage and terms are set by Kemper.
Where It Works
This carries a whole kitchen easily. It is light enough to brighten a room with modest windows, and unlike a pure white it does not go cold in north light. In a large kitchen it works everywhere; in a smaller one it keeps the room feeling open. A common pairing is Toasted Almond on the perimeter with a darker stained or painted island, which gives the room a focal point without losing the light.
The glaze suits traditional and cottage rooms best, and it looks right where there is moulding for it to settle into. It is less at home in a strictly modern kitchen. Elsewhere, it makes a warm bath vanity, a pleasant laundry or mudroom, and a soft, low-contrast butler’s pantry. In a dark basement bar it lifts the space considerably more than a wood stain would.
Pairing Ideas
Countertops
Near-solid creams keep the room quiet and let the glaze show, and Cambria Claremont and Cambria Annaleigh both do that. For more contrast and a brighter room, Cambria Seacourt, Cambria Big Sur Mist or Cambria Snowdon White give a clean white against the warm base. If you want weight below, MSI Fortaleza or MSI S F Real in gray granite ground the light cabinetry.

White natural stone is the natural partner. MSI Calacatta Corrinna and MSI Adella Viso Calacatta 12x24 Satin both give a soft white with gray veining that cools the warmth just enough. MSI Athena Gold Lola Polished brings gold tones that echo the glaze. MSI Arabescato Venato White 2x12 Stack Hon is the more linear, contemporary of the group.
Backsplash tile →Hardware
Warm metals belong on a glazed finish. The Berenson Swagger 160mm in bronze reads traditional and picks up the glaze directly; the Berenson Epoch Edge 128mm in vintage nickel gives a softer, aged contrast. Brushed gold adds shine if you want it. Matte black is a strong, modern contrast against a pale base — effective, but a deliberate choice.
Pulls & knobs →Floors
Because the cabinetry is light, the floor can carry the value. A mid to dark engineered hardwood grounds the room and makes the glaze line read more clearly. Warm-toned LVP does the same job and is the practical option in a busy kitchen. Avoid a floor as pale as the cabinets, which leaves the eye with nowhere to rest.
