Kemper Martin Cabinet Door
Offered in the Kemper Choice and Emerge series
Martin takes the shaker and sharpens it. The inner edge of the frame is chamfered, so the panel opening carries a bright angled face with a firm shadow beneath it, and the field itself stays dead flat. It is a crisp, architectural door, and it flatters paint and stain in roughly equal measure.

Design & Profile
Look at where the frame meets the panel: instead of dropping square, it runs down on a flat chamfer. That angled face catches light along the top rail and holds shade along the bottom, so each opening is outlined by a bright band above and a dark one below. The panel itself is flat and set deep. Corners are square, and the chamfer meets itself cleanly at each one with no rounding to blur the junction.
The frame is even in width on all four sides and the outer edge is lightly eased. The drawer front is built the same way, which means a bank of drawers shows the chamfer repeated at close intervals and reads as the most detailed part of the run. Shadow is firm without being deep — more than a plain square reveal gives you, less than a stepped frame — and it holds up under window light and under-cabinet fixtures alike.
That consistency is what makes Martin easy to specify. It holds its lines in a long run of cabinets, so a wall of uppers does not go soft in the middle, and it keeps enough definition in a pale paint to avoid reading as a slab. It suits a transitional kitchen, a hardworking family kitchen and a bath vanity equally. Built as a true inset door, it moves further toward a furniture-made look.
Series & Construction
Martin is a full overlay door, offered in the Kemper Choice and Emerge series. Kemper lists it in Maple, Cherry, Oak, Walnut, Rustic Alder, Rustic Hickory and Quartersawn White Oak.
Kemper has been making cabinetry in America since 1926 and is part of the MasterBrand family. Emerge is Kemper’s most personalized series: all-plywood construction, custom sizing, and a choice of full-overlay, inset or beaded-inset doors, with specialty finishes, stain and glaze options and multiple edge profiles. Kemper backs its cabinetry with a limited lifetime warranty; coverage and terms are set by Kemper.
Kemper shows Martin as 5-Piece and Square. It is one of the eight Kemper door styles offered as a true inset door.
Finishes
A chamfer gives paint a clean run. There is no corner to pool in, so the film stays even and the angled face keeps a crisp highlight; in white, that highlight is most of what you actually see of the profile. Glaze settles at the bottom of the chamfer and traces a single firm line around each panel, which suits this door far better than a heavy aged treatment would.
Stain does something different. The chamfer cuts across the grain, so the angled face takes color slightly deeper than the flat of the frame and draws itself in. Rustic hickory is the most dramatic option here, with strong color variation and bold grain against a very geometric door, while quartersawn white oak keeps the lines calmer. Walnut goes dark and even, maple stays quiet, and cherry deepens with time.
Pairing Ideas
Countertops
A crisp door pairs well with a crisp top. Vicostone Esmeralda or Cambria Kendal, both bright white, keep the geometry sharp. For more warmth, Cambria Clyde in near-solid cream softens the room without blurring the chamfer. Cambria Wentwood in veined gray is the one to choose if you want the counter to supply the pattern.

Beveled and picket tiles echo the angled edge on the door. MSI Ice Bevel Herringbone does it most directly, and MSI Driftwood Picket brings the same idea in cream. For something flatter, MSI Chilcott Treasure 3x12 in gray glass lays a simple field. MSI Metro Gold Geometric is the choice if the kitchen needs one bold wall.
Backsplash tile →Hardware
Square, straight-edged hardware suits the chamfer. The Berenson Metro 160mm in matte black is the obvious partner, and the Berenson Swagger 96mm in brushed gold warms it up. On an inset installation keep pulls modest, since the flush face and its surround already give the door plenty of definition.
Pulls & knobs →Floors
Martin is flexible underfoot. Engineered hardwood in a wide plank suits the straight lines, and a herringbone lay works if you want the pattern to come from the floor rather than the walls. Porcelain tile fits a bath or a back entry, and LVP handles a basement or laundry where water is a genuine risk.
