Bertch Palomino Bathroom Vanity Finish
Offered on Bertch’s Linea frameless vanities
Palomino is a textured woodgrain foil in a warm medium brown — honey and caramel over a visible oak-style figure. It is the warmest of the Linea wood looks, and the grain pattern has real variation in it. It suits a bathroom where you want the vanity to feel like furniture.

Color & Look
The color is a warm mid-brown with gold in it, the kind of tone people associate with a medium-stained oak or a pecan. Darker grain lines run through a lighter honey ground, and the chip shows a broad cathedral arch toward the left edge where the pattern opens up. That figure is the main thing separating it from the straighter, smokier Braelyn. The overall value is middle: dark enough to be clearly wood, light enough to keep a room open.
Warmth is what this finish does under bathroom light. Incandescent and warm LED bulbs push the gold forward and it can look almost amber at night. Daylight from a single window is more honest and brings the brown back. The embossed texture means the figure catches light along the grain lines, so a door near the window shows far more pattern than one in the corner — on a wide vanity you will see that gradient.
Most people call it oak, and some call it hickory because of the contrast between the light ground and the dark lines. It is neither — it is a printed and embossed foil, and the giveaway is that the same figure appears on more than one door. There is no stain variation, no glaze in a pore and no sheen beyond the slight shine the texture itself produces. The color is identical from the top drawer to the bottom.
Series & Construction
Palomino is one of Bertch’s matte & textured foils, offered on the Linea series. Linea is Bertch’s contemporary frameless collection — full-access European construction, flat slab and reveal doors, high-gloss acrylic and matte or textured foil, freestanding or wall-mounted.
Bertch builds these full-access frameless, with 5/8" solid hardwood drawer boxes dovetailed front and back and plywood floors, backs and shelves. Undermount soft-close drawer glides and concealed soft-close hinges come standard.
Every Bertch vanity is built to order in Waterloo, Iowa: configurations, storage solutions, tops and finishes are selected per project, nothing is off-the-shelf. Bertch warrants its products to be free from defects in material or workmanship for as long as they are owned by the original purchaser.
Where It Works
Palomino is the Linea finish that makes a contemporary frameless vanity feel warm rather than clinical, which is why it ends up in primary baths with a lot of white tile. In a powder room it can carry the whole room on its own. It is also the safest wood look for a small or windowless bathroom, because the ground color is light enough that it does not close the space down the way Braelyn can.
Freestanding on wood legs is where it looks most like furniture, though the leg species and the foil will never match exactly — we usually pick a leg that contrasts rather than one that tries. Wall-mounted, the warm tone floats well above a light floor. The texture hides water marks and fingerprints better than any flat finish here, and it wipes clean along the grain without streaking.
Pairing Ideas
Vanity Top
A cool top balances the gold, so Bertch Chipped Ice — Veined Quartz and Bertch Pewter — Oasis Solid Surface are our usual suggestions. Bertch Platinum White — Cultured Marble is the plain bright option. Going warm instead, Bertch Latte — Oasis Solid Surface stays in the same family. Cambria Berkshire Brass — white quartz is the slab we show most here.
Bertch vanity tops →Sink & Bowl
The Oasis tops are made with the bowl integrated into the surface, so the bowl is chosen with the top and the deck has no joint. Veined quartz and cultured marble take an undermount bowl underneath. Two bowls almost always means losing the center drawer stack; on anything but a wide vanity we suggest one bowl and the drawers.
Hardware & Legs
Brushed gold and champagne sit in the same warm family and can blur into the grain, so we often go the other way: the Berenson Metro 160mm Matte Black Pull gives the clearest line, and the Berenson Bravo 56mm Brushed Nickel Pull cools it without shouting. If you do want warm metal, a knurled piece from the Richelieu Inspiration section in brass registers well.
Pulls & knobs →Mirror & Lighting
Keep the mirror narrower than the vanity so the outer doors and their grain stay in view. Sconces on either side rake light across the texture and make the figure read, where a single overhead fixture tends to flatten a wood look into a solid brown. Warm bulbs push this finish further toward gold, so choose the temperature deliberately.
